Regent International College 11th Annual Prize Giving. H.E. Mr. John Rankin British High Commissioner, Chief Guest
Regents International College had their annual Awards Ceremony on the 14th of November to celebrate the successes of many of their students. The achievements throughout the year were many and focused on academic excellence and additionally commending and in a wide variety of successes ranging from art to sport. The event was attended by His Excellency Mr John Rankin the British High Commissioner for Sri Lanka who spoke on the merit of a quality English education. His Excellency endorsed English as a global language and the access it provided to many young students especially, at Regents International College, to ensure they could avail of global standards and opportunity. The event celebrated coveted awards such as best IGCSE results, A level results and the Best All Rounder Award which is awarded to an exemplary student who succeeds at both extra curricular and academic excellence. The award this year went to Shehana Allon.
The welcome address was delivered by Head Boy of the College, Kovindu Perera and the vote of thanks by Head Girl Achini Hapuwalanage
His Excellency Mr John Rankin laid the foundation stone for the new development plan. The new building will feature state of the art classrooms within a purpose built block at a cost of over Rs. 70 million.
