Rhythms of Regent 2014. Regent College Band Show
Regent International College school band is a group of student musicians who rehearse and perform music together. A concert band is usually under the direction of one or more conductors (band directors). A school band consists of instruments and percussion instruments, although upper level bands may also have string basses or bass guitar.
We at Regent held our inaugural band show on the 18th October 2014 having had schools participating from most parts of the island, display their talents, being the first time on display at a show of this magnitude our school showed tremendous confidence and professionalism.
It must be noted that the schools who participated in the Rhythms of Regent’ also made an impact on the well attended event, the other notable feature was a band known as “THE MUSIC” which consisted of orphans showed one and all what talent is available given the right guidance and opportunity, The college auditorium was filled with guest who appreciated the performance with great appreciation and applause, this was an clear indication as to how the young talent on show performed, hats off to the management, principal staff of Regent International College.
The show came to an end having witnessed a great show of talent available to our motherland, to conclude this summary of the band show it is our privileged to heap all praise on the ever willing and dedicated work of Ms Savithri who steered the ship with confidence and determination for us at Regent to witness something of a different kind, all good things came to an end with the college band having a grand ‘baila’ session where all the students and staff dance their cares away…….
