The newly built Auditorium with the In-Door Basketball Court of Regent International College was ceremoniously declared open by the Chairman Mr. Nelson Gunasekara and the Managing Director Mr. Anura Gunasekara of Regent International Company Ltd at 3.30 pm on 18^th November 2011 with the participation of a large gathering of students, teachers and parents of the college. 

The inauguration ceremony was followed by the Annual Prize Giving of the college, which commenced at 4.30 pm on the same day. At this grand ceremony adorned with beautiful Kandyan, Bharatha, Ballet dances and melodious songs sung by the Junior and Senior Choirs of the college, 179 Prize Winners were honoured for their excellence in academic and co curricular activities in the academic Year 2010 /2011. Prizes were awarded by Dr A M Mubarak, the Director General of the Industrial Technology Institute – Sri Lanka, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. 

Miss Himara Jayasekara of Year 07 was awarded the Best All Round Student (junior) Award while Master Ramitha Rupasinghe won the Award for the Best All Round student in the senior section. Master Ramitha Rupasinghe, Miss Chamali Wijebandara and Miss Tharushi Wijesiriwardane won the awards for Best O/L Result (Science), Best O/L Results (Commerce) and Best A/L Results respectively.  

Long Service Awards were awarded by the Management of the college to twenty Teachers and members of Non-Academic Staff in appreciation of their contribution to the growth of the school with loyal and continuous service of more than ten years.
