Swimming

 

 
  • Swimming is a period of the school time table.
  • Selected students are put into a Junior squad.
  • Junior squad practices are on Thursday after school.
  • Good swimmers are promoted from Junior squad to Senior squad.
  • Squad Practices are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings before school.

 

 

Cricket

 

 
  • The college has 2 cricket teams (Under 15 & Under 13)
  • Net practices are on Thursday & Friday
  • Ground practices are held twice a month.
  • Batting practices are held once a month at Austrasia Cricket club, Colombo with the aid of the Bowling Machine.
  • Net practices are held at the college grounds every week.
  • Outside cricket experts are called in when necessary (ex - special practice sessions held with Sri Lanka A team ex-coach Sten Nel.)
  • Special Cricket Technique lectures are conducted with the aid of CDs provided by Robert Beaucanon (Former Australian National coach).

  • Annual Inter-House Cricket Tournaments.

  • Regular friendly matches with other schools and clubs.

  • The College has two teams (boys and girls).

College band & Choir

 

 
  • The College has two bands (Junior and Senior).
  • Special practices for the Senior band are conducted every Wednesday.
  • The college has a Choir of 30 members and weekly practices are conducted.

  • Classes are on weekdays.
  • Four lessons will be covered for each month.

  • Lessons for Cubs are on Mondays.
  • Lessons for Scouts are on Tuesdays.
