The students
of Regent International College - Gampaha celebrated Christmas
on 02nd December 2010 before they closed school for
Christmas vacation.
A very
enjoyable programme was organized by the teachers in charge of
Christianity in which children belonging to all different
faiths; Catholics, Buddhists and Muslims took part in signing
Christmas carols and a nativity play that depicted the birth of
Jesus Christ.
Rev. Sister
Deepani, the Principal of the Holy Cross College-Gampaha graced
the occasion as the Chief Guest and she stressed the importance
of celebrations of this nature for our children to have peaceful
co – existence in a multi religious society. Santa arrived at
the end of the programme and the children welcomed him with
shouts of glee. Of course Santa had gifts for everyone. |
