Vesak Celebration &
Sil Program 2011
 Vesak
was celebrated at Regent International College with a Sil
Programme organized by the Buddhist Association of the college.
Around 300
children along with the numbers of the staff observed sil on 13th
May 2011 at the college hall. Parents of the college organized
the “Gilanpasa” and mid day “Dana” (meal) for students and
teachers who observed sil.
The special
feature of the programme was the “Dhammma Discussion” conducted
by Ven. Madihe Sugathasiri , a senior lecturer attached to the
Post Graduate Institute of Buddhist Studies at University of
Kelaniya. Students were given the opportunity to clarify their
doubts on issues related to life.
